Let me beak your interest...

... drumrolls please, chicken!

After a long break in writing recipes and articles I'm back and this time, I'm bringing you a slightly different show with chicken on drums (excuse the pun!)

The yummy chicken on drumsticks recipe is simple yet marvellous! Succulent minced chicken meets a bundle of vegetables, and just a bite of this dish melts as smooth and quick as snow, leaving a taste of heaven behind in your mouth.

Without making you suffer much longer, I'll get right to the recipe!

Ingredients (for 8 servings):

  • 8 medium-sized chicken thighs
  • 1 medium-sized potato
  • 1 carrot
  • 1 and 1/2 cup of cheddar cheese
  • 1 medium-sized onion
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup of breadcrumbs
  • turmeric
  • paprika

Preparation method:

  • Add some oil to the pan and fry the chopped onions
  • Once the onions have been in the pan and turned golden, add the chicken thighs, carrots and garlic to the pan and let it cook thoroughly on medium heat
  • Once the thighs have cooked, leave the mix in the pan and take the chickens out
  • Peel the meet off of the drumsticks and cut the as fine as possible
  • Next take the potato and carrots from the pan, combining it with the finely cut meat, use a blender or a mixer to get the mince mixture
  • Keep the meatless drumsticks and put them aside for now
  • Divide the mince mixture into 8 pieces
  • Roll each piece into balls
  • In a bowl, break the eggs and mix well
  • Separately, mix the breadcrumbs with a pinch of paprika and turmeric until the colour turns red and yellow, add some salt and pepper as well
  • Dip each piece of mince mixture into the eggs, and then into the breadcrumbs mixture
  • Insert the drumsticks into each chicken mix to make it look like a chicken thigh again (see the pictures for inspiration!)
  • Fill a pan with enough oil to fry each chicken mix assembled on the drumsticks
  • Once the oil is hot enough, add each drumstick one by one to the pan until the mix is golden
  • Take the drumsticks out of the pan and lay them on kitchen towels to remove excess oil
  • The food is now ready to be served!
